Oromar, founded in 1999 and based in Urk (The Netherlands), Europe’s premier fishery hub, represents the continuation of a multi-generation family business in the fishing sector. The current management is composed of the third and fourth generations of the family.
The name Oromar means “gold from the sea.”
The company boasts extensive expertise in fish products, particularly in their processing. Oromar specializes in the processing, freezing, and distribution of one of the North Sea’s delicacies: langoustine (Norway lobster). In addition, Oromar is one of the largest exporters of sea bass and sea bream. Thanks to its location in the European fisheries center, the company is also able to offer a wide range of North Sea products such as squid, sole, plaice fillet, brill, turbot, red gurnard, cuttlefish, and razor clams, among others.
