Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is an independent, non-profit NGO, founded by WWF Netherlands and IDH (the Dutch Sustainable Trade Initiative) to promote more sustainable aquaculture. Its mission is to ensure that fish and seafood from certified farms are produced responsibly, with full respect for the environment, workers and local communities.
